What's the Connection? 
While shopping at Whole Foods Market for a cooking class the next day, I filled up my basket with eight heads of cauliflower. That's REALLY heavy, y'all!! My basket was hand-held... not a shopping cart, so I was lugging this around the store. I spotted a man from across the produce section who was glancing my way. I figured he was a regular and noticed that I was not because I usually don't shop at the Whole Foods Market in that section of town.
I went on to the spice isle and noticed the man again looking intently at some products on the middle shelf. I excused myself as I walked by when he remarked, "Wow, you REALLY do like cauliflower, huh?" I chuckled and explained the reason for the massive quantity. "I'm cooking a dish called Faux-tatoes for Exodus Health Center's cooking class tomorrow at the other Whole Foods Market." I explained. "Oh... Dr. Josh Axe!", he replied. "I am one of his patients too." So with that, we established our connection.... [continued] 
After our
introductions, he told me that he had given the good doctor an article
on auto-suggestion while treating patients as a way to speed up
healing. He was very into the psychology of auto-suggestion, remote
viewing, etc. and as I was listening, I began to wonder if his glance
over in the produce section was accompanied by an auto-suggestion that
I bump into him later in the store.
I was intrigued with his knowledge of metaphysics, being a student of it myself and was surprised by the fact that this total random stranger was into the same, wacky stuff I was into. It was then that he mentioned a book published in 1924 called "The New Psychology" by Charles F. Haanel, and his book called "The Master Key System" published in 1917 which actually inspired Napoleon Hill's book, "Think and Grow Rich". Neither of these were available at the bookstore, so I googled Charles F. Haanel to see if what this man told me was actually true. I found a treasure trove about the man who inspired Napoleon Hill so many years ago. 
Here is a transcription of a letter that Hill wrote to Haanel about The Master Key System:
April 21, 1919. Mr. Charles F. Haanel, St. Louis, Mo. My dear Mr. Haanel: You probably know, from the editorial in the January issue of the Golden Rule, copy of which my Secretary sent to you, that I began twenty-two years ago as a coal miner at a dollar a day. I have just been retained by a ten million dollar corporation at a salary of $105,200.00 a year, for a portion of my time only, it having been agreed that I shall continue as editor of the Hill's Golden Rule. I believe in giving credit where it is due, therefore I believe I ought to inform you that my present success and the success which has followed my work as President of the Napoleon Hill Institute is due largely to the principles laid down in The Master-Key System. You are doing a good work by helping people to realize that nothing is impossible of accomplishment which a man can create in his imagination. Surely my own experience proves this.
